Fig 2.1 represents the cross-section of an oil tanker in a river.

a) The bottom of the tanker is 15m below the surface of the water. The area of the bottom of the tanker is 6000m². The density of the water is 1000kg/m³.
i) Calculate the pressure due to the water at the depth of 15m.
ii) Calculate the force due to the water pressure on the bottom of the tanker.
iii) Deduce the weight of the tanker.
