Figure 14.9 shows a wooden book - holder having two trapezium shaped flaps. Find the cost of putting sunmica on the inner side at the rate of 52 per 10 cm^2

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × sum of || side × distance between || side

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × (24 + 15) × 12

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × 39 × 12

Area of trapezium = 39 × 6

Area of trapezium = 234 cm²

Area of book - holder = 234 × 2 = 468 cm²

Cost of 10 cm² = Rs. 52

Cost of 1 cm² = Rs. 5.2

Cost of 468 cm² = Rs. 2433.6
