Fig A maps to fig B with a scale factor of  4/9  

To Find :   value of x

Solution:

Fig A is a scale image of  fig B

Hence figures are similar

Fig A maps to fig B with a scale factor of  4/9  

Fig A  corresponding sides  *  ( 4/9)  = Fig B  corresponding sides

=> Ratio of corresponding sides of Fig A and Fig B

is  9/4

=> x/16   = 9/4

=> x = 36

Hence Value of x is 36
