The poem 'Throwing a Tree' is written by Thomas Hardy.The main theme of the poem is about cutting trees.The trees which grew for two long centuries ,are cut down in two hours.
Here ,The figure of speech, used in this poem is Personification.This literary device shows human qualities .The following lines prove that the poet used the figure of speech,
"The saw then begins,till the top of the tall giant shivers:
The shivers are seen to grow greater each cut than before :
