Answer:

you mean to say speech or speed

if speech then

Some examples of common figures of speech include the simile, metaphor, pun, personification, hyperbole, understatement, paradox and oxymoron. However, these are just some figures of speech. Whenever a speaker does not intend the literal interpretation of his words, then he is using a figure of speec

and if speed then don't know

Answer:

hey sis that is not figure of speed it is figure of speech

there are many types of figures of speech

  • simile
  • metaphor
  • hyperbole
  • personification
  • alliteration
  • oxymoron

1) simile :

we compare two different things though they are different. in the sentence we compare those two things by using like, as

ex : he is black like a crow

he is as brave as a lion

2) metaphor:

in this also we compare two things but don't use like, as

ex : life is a long journey

Rama is a lion in the battle

3) hyperbole:

an ordinary is over emphasised . it is really exaggeration, that is not real

ex : I waited for u centuries

he ran faster than the speed of light

4) personification:

giving human characters to animals or object

ex : the sun smiled at us

opportunities are knocking at my door

5) alliteration:

when words in the phrase Start with same letter or sound

ex : she should sleep in a shield

black bug bit a big bear

6) oxymoron:

two opposite words are seen in the phrase

ex : my Last year experience was bitter-cold

the school life was with happy-sad moments

there are many more but I know only these as I learnt only these in my classes

i think this helps u...........
