Area of a quadrant = area of circle/4

Area of quadrant = πr²/4 = 22/7 × 6√2 × 6√2 × 1/4

= 22/7 × 72 × 1/4 = 22/7 × 18 = 396/7 sq.units

In a square diagonal = √2a

Here diagonal of the square is radius of the circle.

√2a = 6√2

a = 6 units .

So area of square is 6 × 6 = 36 sq.units

Area of shaded region = area of quadrant - area of square.

Area of shaded region = 396/7 - 36

= 396/7 - 252/7 = 144/7 sq.units

Thank you hope this helps you.
