  • So , in this case for time  period 0-1 sec , the slope or the speed in this time period  is :

       = \frac{\Delta x}{\Delta t}

       = \frac{30}{1}

       =  30 m/s

  • And for the time period 1-3 sec i.e. for the next two sec we have the slope or the speed for this time period is :

    =  \frac{\Delta x}{\Delta t}

    =\frac{30}{2}

    = 15 m/s

  • Now the ratio of the speeds in the 1st 2nd to that in the next two seconds is :

    = \frac{30}{15}

    =2

Hence , the ratio is 2:1
