Figure shows the graph of x-coordinate of a particle
moving along x-axis as a function of time. Average
velocity during t = 0 to 6 s and instantaneous
velocity at t = 3 s respectively, will be
(m)
20
10-
2
3
4
0 1
(1) 10 m/s, o
(3) 0,0
(2) 60 m/s, 0
(4) O, 10 m/s

Answer:

As given in the question the displacements for time intervals are as follows:

For 0 to 1s = 10m

For 1 to 4 s is 0

Then for 4 to 5 s

It is 10m

Then finally for 5 to 6 s

It is 20m.

As we know, average velocity is total displacement over time.

Total displacement for this is 10+ 10+ 0- 20= 0

So, if the total displacement is 0 then avg velocity is

Now to find instantaneous velocity at 3s would be equal to the displacement and time graph hence it is also 0.

hope this will help u
