The figures of speech in the poem are mainly imagery and alliteration. The poet has used- water wild , wrath wailing, bonny bride, should steps in his poem. These are all examples of alliteration. The imagery in the poem are scowl of the heaven, raging of the skies, water wraith was shrieking, loud waves lashed the shore etc.
