Hey!!!
● Either of the girls were allowed to fill in the form.
In this sentence, girls are plural so we used were instead of was or any other verb.
● Neither of the boys were present at the assembly.
Similarly, in this sentence also boys are plural. We can use present form of were also in it but past tense suites more.
● Several of these boys are not able to do this work.
● One of these men comes here daily.
In this sentence, it depends on us that which verb to use but, comes suites more and the tense must be Simple Present as the men comes 'daily'.
● I got a few books from library, but none of them are interesting.
● We have enough food for everyone, but haven't there enough plates?
● There are not many people present, but everyone present is carrying a laptop.
● Everyone of these toys is mine.
In this sentence, we are saying about every'one' of the toys so the verb must be singular.
