if \: a > 0 \\ then \: a \: is \: a \: positive \: integer \\ if \: b < 0 \\ then \: b \: is \: negative \: integer \\ therefore \: (a.b) \: lies \: in \: 4t h\: quadrant

Image of point (a , b) in Y axis  lies in Quadrant |||    if a > 0 and b < 0

Given : a> 0  and b < 0

To Find : Image of (a , b) lies in which Quadrant

Solution:

Quadrant |     x  is + ve   and  y  is  + ve

Quadrant ||     x  is  - ve   and  y  is  + ve

Quadrant |||     x  is - ve   and  y  is  - ve

Quadrant |V     x  is + ve   and  y  is - ve

Image of point (x , y )  in X axis  is ( x , - y)

Image of point (x , y )  in Y axis  is ( -x ,  y)

Image of point (a , b) in Y axis  is  ( -a , b )

a > 0  => -a < 0  hence -a is -ve

b < 0   => b is - ve

Hence Image of point (a , b) in Y axis  is  ( -ve , - ve)

so Image of point (a , b) in Y axis lies in Quadrant |||
