I want to ask a question now.

1. There are three articles in English dictionary: a, an, and the.

2. Such type of articles are always used before any noun or words equivalent to nouns and also those words which are a type of adjective.

3. The article (the) is always referred to as the definite article which is used before a noun to determine or to show the identity of the noun which is known to the reader.

4. The article (a, an) is always referred to as the indefinite article which is  usually used before a noun when its identification is not known to us.

5. In many situations it happens where a noun takes no article.

6. The article an is used before a singular noun which begins with a vowel sound.
