Light coral, orange-red, red, scarlet, Crimson, Vermilion, Burgandy, Wine, maroon
Lime, Harlequin, Spring Green, Kelly Green, Jade, Olive, Viridian, Sea Green, Hunter Green
- To arrange colors from light to dark we need to first understand which shades of red and green are there and only then we can arrange them according to the shade and value of each color.
- Once you are aware of the names of the colors you can then place them in order of light to dark. More often than not, the idea of which color is brighter or darker is subjective, especially in the middle values and colors. However, the end values are often pretty distinguishable and easier to place.
- A great rule of thumb is that if you place them between two colors you will be able to see whether something is light or dark in comparison.
- This same exercise can be done for a wide range of colors as colors are not that one value but rather a spectrum within their own colors.
