In the 1st question and in the first column we can clearly note that :

x=6

and y = 18

i.e y is 3 times x

So we can write , y = 3x

Now putting the value of x of column 2 in this equation , we get :

y = 3x8 = 24

similarly ,

putting the value of x of column 3 in that equation , we get

y = 12 x 3 = 36

and in column 4 we have to find the value of x , just we need to put the value of y in that equation , we get :

63 = 3x

So , x = 63/3 = 21

And the below questions are just similar to these ...

The equations of (ii) and (iii) goes as:

(ii) x = 2y

and

(iii) 5x =2y

Now you can solve all this by putting the values of x or y in these equations for the answer!

Hope it helped
