Muni says that he would get the money from the American tourist. As per him, he was sure to get the money from the tourist as he felt that the tourist is interested in buying his two goats whereas the tourist was more inclined on buying the large statue of the horse.

The question is from the story, "A Horse and Two Goats" by R. K. Narayan and is a comic tale of a Tamil peasant and an American tourist.

The Tamil peasant, Muni does not know English whereas the American does not know Tamil.

Muni said that he will get the money from his daughter that she will be sending him for his fiftieth birthday. No, he was lying as he had no child and also he was not fifty years old.
