angle VAD = 180 - 70 (Linear pair)

                  = 110 degree

   angle x = angle VAD (vertically opposite angles in a parallelogram are     equal)

            = 110 degree

(ii) measure of angle z

  angle A = angle LDV + angle z (Corresponding angles)

   70 degree = 40 degree + z

    70 -40 = z

    z = 30 degree

(iii) measure of angle y

    angle y = angle LDV (alternate angles)

    y = 40 degree

(iv) the sum of all interior angles of triangle DAV is

  180 degree (A.S.P of a triangle)

angle z+ angle y + angle VAD = 180 degree (A.S.P of a triangle)

30 + 40 + 110 = 180 degree
