\displaystyle \text{We can write 5 as $\frac{10}{2}$ and 6 as $\frac{12}{2}$. } \\ \\ \\ \frac{11}{2}\ \ \text{lie between these two fractions.} \\ \\ \\ \text{Thus \ $\frac{11}{2} = 5\frac{1}{2}$ is a rational number between 5 and 6.}

ANSWER

TO FIND RATIONAL NO. WE NEED TO FIND "d" first.

FOR "d" we need to take "N" as number of rational number to be funded.

So N = 1 (because we need only 1 rational number)

let "X" be 5

and "y" be 6

d= y-x/N+1. (REMEMBER THIS FORMULA)

== 6-5/1+1

== 1/2

SO, "D"= 1/2

NOW, number of rational numbers to be taken =1

so, n+1*d

1+1* 1/2

2*1/2

2/2

1/1,, Answer
