I multiplied the rational no. s because there are no no.s between -4/10 and 5/10 so multiplied by 20 you can multiply by any number but make sure if it has 10 rational no. s between them hope it helps!

Answer:

 \huge \bf \blue{Question}

Find 10 rational number between -2/5 and ½.

 \huge \bf \blue{Answer}

First,

Lets make the denominators same.

L.C.M. of 5 and 2=10!

 \small \sf{ \frac{ - 2}{5}  \times  \frac{2}{2}  =  \frac{ - 4}{10} } \\  \\   \small \sf{ \frac{1}{2} \times  \frac{5}{5}  =  \frac{5}{10}  }

Now,

Between,-4/10 and 5/10,only 8 numbers lie.(-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4)

So again,

We will have to multiply the denominator to get a bigger number.

 \small \sf{ \frac{ - 4}{10} \times  \frac{10}{10}  =  \frac{ - 40}{100}  } \\  \\ \small \sf{  \frac{5}{10} \times  \frac{10}{10} =  \frac{50}{100}   }

Now between -40/100 and 5/100,many number lie.So the 10 rational numbers(required) can be any number which lies between -40/100 and 5/100.
