To find 10 rational numbers between -2/5 and 1/2

First we will have to make the denominator the same.

LCM = 10

-2/5*2/2 = -4/10

1/2*5/5 = 5/10

Now between -4/10 and 5/10, only 8 numbers lie.

So again we will have to multiply the denominator to get a bigger number.

-4/10*10/10 = -40/100

5/10*10/10 = 50/100

Now between -40/100 and 5/100, many numbers lie.

So 10 rational numbers between -2/5 and 1/2: -39/100, 1/100, 6/100, 49/100, 8/100, -16/100, -19/100, 45/100, -22/100, 2/100. (Or any of your choice but  should lie between -40/100 and 50/100)

Hope it helps :)
