Given A.P

-40,-50-60.....

Here ,

a = -40

t₁ = a = -40

t₂ = -50

∴ d = t₂ - t₁ = -50 - (-40) = -50+40 = -10

We have to find the 12th term of the given A.P

∴ n = 12

We know that,

tₙ = a + (n-1) d

Put the obtained values we get,

t₁₂ = -40 + (12-1) -10

t₁₂ = -40 + 11 x (-10)

t₁₂ = -40 - 110

t₁₂ = -150

 \boxed{t12 = - 150}
