Question :-

  • Find 2 rationnal and irrational numbers between (-3)/4 and (-2)/5..

Solution :-

(-3/4) & (-2/5)

Lets Make Both denominator same .

(-3/4) * (5/5) = (-15)/20

And,

(-2/5) * (4/4) = (-8)/20 .

So, Rational Number b/w, (-8/20) and, (-15/20) are :-

(-8/20) > (-9/20) > (-10/20) > (-11/20) > (-12/20) > (-13/20) > (-14/20) > (-15/20) ..

Now , we also Have to write irrational Numbers .

Irrational Number :- It cannot be expressed as a fraction with integer values in the numerator and denominator. Ex:- √2 , √3 , √7 etc.

Given :- Number are (-3/4) & (-2/5).

We know that square root of numbers other than perfect square numbers are irrational numbers.

Now, Lets change Them into decimal first.

(-3/4) = - 0.75

→ (-2/5) = - 0.40

So,

irrational Number b/w them :-

-0.40 > - 0.66666 > - 0.714285 > - 0.75

or,

(-2/5) > (-2/3) > (-5/7) > (-3/4).

Hence, 2 irrational Number b/w, (-2/5) & (-3/4) are (-2/3) , (-5/7).
