Answer:

i) 3x +4y = 7

put x = 0 , y = 7/4

put y = 0, x = 7/3

ii) solutions are (0,0) , (1,6) , (2,12)

iii) 2x = 7+y

=> put x = 0 , y = -7

=> put x = 1 , y = -5

solutions are ( 1, 1 ) (-3, 4) and

(5, -2)

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+4y=7

4y=7 - 3x

y =  \frac{7 - 3x}{4}

put x=1

y =  \frac{7 - 3}{4}  =  \frac{4}{4}  = 1

put x = -3

y =  \frac{7  + 9}{4}  =  \frac{16}{4}  = 4

put x = 5

y =  \frac{7 - 15}{4}  =  \frac{ - 8}{4}  =  - 2

solutions are ( 1, 1 ) (-3, 4) and (5, -2)
