Given:

 \frac{ - 7}{2} \:  and \:  - 2

To find:

3 rational number between them

Solution:

At first we will make the denominator of -2 equal to that of -7/2

 \frac{ - 2 \times 2}{1 \times 2}  =  \frac{ - 4}{2}

Now,

 \frac{ - 7}{2}  \: and \frac{ - 4}{2}

we have

 \frac{ - 7 \times 2}{2 \times 2}  =  \frac{ - 14}{4}  \\  \\  \frac{ - 4 \times 2}{2 \times 2}  =  \frac{ - 8}{4}

Hence, 3 rational numbers between -2 and -7/2 are

-13/2 , -12/2 , -11/2

You can also take any other number in place of 2 according to the values.
