y > x ; n = 3

d = y - x/n + 1

= 4 - 3/3 + 1

= 1/4

Ist rational number = 3 + 1/4

= 12 + 1/4

= 13/4

2nd rational number = 3 + 2 × 1/4

= 3 + 1/2

= 6 + 1/2

= 7/2

3rd rational number = 3 + 3 × 1/4

= 3 + 3/4

= 12 + 3/4

= 15/4

Hence , three rational numbers between 3 and 4 are 13/4 , 7/2 and 15/4.
