Question ::-

Find 4 rational numbers between \dfrac{2}{5} and \dfrac{3}{7}?

Solution ::-

Step 1. Firstly , take LCM of  \dfrac{2}{5} and  \dfrac{3}{7}

LCM of 5 and 7 = 35

Step 2. Now make them like fractions.

 \dfrac{2}{5} =  \dfrac{2×7}{5×7} =  \dfrac{14}{35}

 \dfrac{3}{7} =  \dfrac{3×5}{7×5} =  \dfrac{15}{35}

Step 3. Now multiply both like fractions by 5 in case of finding 4 rational numbers between them .

 \dfrac{14}{35} =  \dfrac{14×5}{35×5} =  \dfrac{70}{175}

 \dfrac{14}{35} =  \dfrac{15×5}{35×5} =  \dfrac{75}{175}

Step 4. hence , it's solved :)

Four rational numbers are ::-

 \dfrac{71}{35} ,  \dfrac{72}{35} ,  \dfrac{73}{35} ,  \dfrac{74}{35}
