[ ∵ We have to make the dinominators of both the numbers equal. We will make the dinominators 56, LCM of 7 & 8 ]

- 5/7 = - 40/56 [∵ multiplying with 8]

- 3/8 = - 21/56 [∵ multiplying with 7]

[ Note that we have 19 rational numbers between (- 40/56) and (- 21/56) ]

∴ Five rational numbers between (- 5/7) and

(- 3/8) are (- 22/56), (- 23/56), (- 24/56), (- 25/56) & (- 26/56)

[ Note - There isn't only 19 rational numbers between them, there are infinity numbers out of which these five are ]
