Answer:

5 - 3√14/ 7+2√14 = a + b√14

=> (5 - 3√14)(7 - 2√14)/ (7 + 2√14)(7 - 2√14) = a + b√14

=> 5(7 - 2√14) - 3√14(7 - 2√14)/ 7² - (2√14)² = a + b√14

=> 35 - 10√14 - 21√14 + 6√14/ 49 - 56 = a + b√14

=> 35 - 25√14/ - 7 = a + b√14

Thus, a = -35/7 = -5

b = 25√14/7
