Given that a+b is 250
And
a-b is 120
So a= 250 -b

Let’s replace this in the 2nd equation
a-b= 120
Let’s replace a
250-b-b = 120
250-2b = 120
2b = 250-120
b= 130/2
b= 65

now to find a
a+ b =250
a= 250-65
a= 185

Thus a=185 and b= 65
Hope it helps :)

Answer:

a = 185, b = 65

Step-by-step explanation:

a + b = 250_________________________eq1

a - b = 120__________________________eq2

Adding eq1 and eq2 we get,

  a + b = 250

+  a - b = 120

_____________________________

2a = 370

a = 185

substituting the value of a in eq1 we get,

185 + b = 250

b = 250-185

b = 65
