⇒ (a + b) × (a + b)

⇒ (a + b)²

By Formula, (x + y)² = x² + y² + 2xy

⇒ a² + b² + 2ab

⇒ (a + b) × (a + b)

⇒ [(a) (a + b)] + [ (b) (a + b)]       $multiplied directly$

⇒  a² + ab  + ab + b² 

⇒ a² + b² + 2ab
