4a - 2b = 8
2b = 4a - 8

3a + 2b = 13
3a + (4a - 8) = 13
3a + 4a = 13 + 8
7a = 21
a = 3

2b = 4a - 8
2b = 12 - 8
2b = 4
b = 2

a + b
= 3 + 2
= 5

3a+2b=13_(1)
4a-2b=8_(2)
adding (1) &(2)
7a=21
a=21/7
a=3
put a in (1)
3×3+2b=13
2b=13-9
b=4/2
b=2
a+b=3+2
a+b=5
