Then the three consecutive odd numbers are x ; x+ 2 and x+4

So the formula will be,

x + (x+2)+ (x+4) = S

x + x + 2 + x + 4 = S

x + x + x + 2 + 4 = S

3x + 6 = S

ii) Given value of greatest odd no. = -101 = x+4

If x+4 = -101

  x= -101 -4

    =-105

Then the three consecutive odd numbers are

  • x= -105
  • x + 2 = -105 + 2 = -103
  • x + 3 = -105 + 4 = -101

They are -105 , -103 and -101
