find a geometric progression for which sum of the 1st two terns is -4 and 5th term is 4times the 3rd term

Answer:

a1= -4

a5= 4(a+2d)

a5= 4×-4+8d

a+4d= -16+8d

-4+16= 8d-4d

12= 4d

d= 12/4

d= 3

therefore, we obtain a geometric progression as -4, -1, 2, 5,8_______
