Solution -

We have,

  • f(x) = ax + 10

It is given that, f(1) = 13.

So firstly, we have to find f(1).

Put x = 1

⇢ f(1) = a(1) + 10

⇢ f(1) = a + 10

Now, it is given that f(1) = 13

⇢ a + 10 = 13

⇢ a = 13 - 10

a = 3

Hence,

  • Value of a is 3.

For verification, put

  • x = 1, and
  • a = 3

⇢ ax + 10 = 13

⇢ 3(1) + 10 = 13

⇢ 3 + 10 = 13

⇢ 13 = 13

Hence proved

Thus, value of a is 3.

Given:-

  • f(x) = ax + 10
  • f(1) = 13

To find:-

  • Value of a.

Solution:-

★ In this question we have given that f(x) = ax + 10 and f(1) = 13. We have to find out the value of a. Let's do it.

According to the question,

Firstly,

  • Putting x = 1

⇢ f(1) = a(1) + 10

⇢ f(1) = a + 10

Now,

⇢ f(1) = 13

⇢ a + 10 = 13

⇢ a = 13 - 10

a = 3

Hence,

  • The value of a is 3.
