Answer:

Let the number be a

According to question

a - 35 % of a = 52

=> a - 35a/100 = 52

=> (100a - 35a) / 100 = 52

=> 65a/100 = 52

=> 13a/20 = 52

=> a = 52 × 20 / 13

=> a = 4 × 20

=> a = 80

Required number = 80

Answer:

Find the number which when decreased by 35% becomes 52 .

Let number be x

x-\frac{35x}{100} =52

\frac{65x}{100}=52\\ x=\frac{100*52}{65} =\frac{100*4}{5} \\x=\frac{400}{5} =80

Hence Number is 80
