Let the number be x.

A/q

x = 2/5 × x + 24

x = 2x/5 + 24

x - 2x/5 = 24

Hey !!

Let the number be A.

According to question,

A = 2/5 × a + 24

a = 2a/5 + 24

a = ( 2a + 120 ) /5

5a = 2a + 120

5a - 2a = 120

3a = 120

a = 40.

Number = a = 40
