We have to use formula of

divident=divisor*quotient +remainder

let we keep divident x

therefore

x=40*22+20

x=880+20

x=900

so the no.is 900

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Dividend = ?

Divisor = 40

Quotient = 22

Remainder = 20

By Division algorithm,

⇒Dividend = Divisor * Quotient + Remainder

⇒Dividend = 40*22+20

⇒ Dividend = 880+20

⇒ Dividend = 900

Therefore, The number which when divided by 40 gives the quotient 22 and the remainder 20 is 900.
