Hi friends the answer is..
2x = x/2 + 45
==> 2x - x/2 = 45
<==> (3x)/2 = 45
==> 3x = 90
==> x = 90/3 = 30, the unknown number.

Let\:the\:number\:be\:x\\\\According\:to\:the\:question,\\\\2x=45+\frac{x}{2}\\\\\implies2x=\frac{(45\times2\times x)}{2}\\\\Multiplying\:both\:side\:by\:2\\\\we\:get,\\\\\implies2\times2x=90+x\\\\\implies4x=90+x\\\\Subtracting\:'n'\:both\:sides\:\\\\we\:get,\\\\\implies4x-x=90\\\\\implies3x=90\\\\Dividing\:both\:sides\:by\:three\\\\we\:get,\\\\\implies x=\frac{90}{3}\\\\\implies\boxed{x=30}
