Let the number be x

Its fifth part is = x/5

Its fourth part is= x/4

A.T.Q

(X/5) +30 = (X/4) - 30

(X/5) -(X/4) = -30-30

(4X-5X)/20 = -60

-X = -60 *20

-X= - 1200

X= 1200

Answer:

1200

Step-by-step explanation:

Let that number is x.

Its 5th part = x/5

Increasing by 30 = x/5+30 - - - - - (A)

Its 4th part = x/4

Decreasing by 30 = x/4-30 - - - - - (B)

According to question A = B

x/5+30 = x/4 - 30

x = 1200

Hence that number is 1200.
