  • The necessary point is on the negative side of the y axis so the value of ordinate will be negative.
  • And the point is on y axis so the abscissa will be zero.
  • Now, the distance of the point from the x-axis will be the magnitude of the ordinate itself.
  • Now, the distance cannot be 3 units.
  • So, we can put any number on the place of ordinate except 3 to get our necessary point.
  • Eg. (0-1), (0,-6) , (0,-9) and so on.
