Find a point on the x axis which is equidistant from the pointsA(5,2),B(1,-2)

Since the points are equidistant from the point, then the point here required is the midpoint.

Note that the ordinate of the point is zero as it lies on the X axis

We need to find the X coordinate

X = 5+1/2
= 3

Therefore the points are (3,0)
