to find the intersecting point on y -axis

we have to put x=0 in the given linear

equation  

2x = 1 - 5y --------( 1 )

put x= 0 in equation ( 1 ) ,

2 x 0 = 1 - 5y

0 = 1 - 5y

5y = 1  [ ∵ transposing ]

y = 1/5

required point on y- axis = ( 0 , y )

                                      = ( 0 , 1/5 )
