Lines cuts by both x-axis and y –axis

Step 2:

y can be expressed in terms of x as,

2x-3y=12

=2x-12=3y

y= 2/3x-4

Step 3:

the points where this line cuts the x-axis and y-axis can be found as,

put y=0 in 2x-3y=12

=2x-3(0)=12

2x-0=12

X=6

Step 4:

Put x=0 in 2x-3y=12

Then 2(0)-3y=12

0-3y=12

-3y=12

Y= -4

Thus the points of both x-axis and y axis is (6,0) and (0,-4)
