Given,

sum of the roots = a+b = 0

product of the roots = a×b =-2

x^2 - (a+b)x + (a×b) = 0

x^2 - (0)x + (-2) = 0

x^2 - 2 = 0 -------> it is the equation

x = +-√2 --------> roots

ɢɪᴠᴇɴ ᴛʜᴀᴛ,

Find the polynomial if the sum and product of the zeroes are 0 and -2

ʟᴇᴛ,

Sum if the zeroes : α + ß = 0

Product of the zeroes : αß = -2

Form of Quadratic polynomial is

x² - (α + ß)x + αß = 0

x² -(0)x + (-2) = 0

x² - 2 = 0

The Quadratic polynomial is x² - 2 = 0
