Answer:

let the zeroes be x and y

now according to question

x+y=-5

xy=-14

now polynomial is a^2-(x+y)a+xy

polynomial is :a^2-(-5)a+(-14)

a^2+5a-14

solving the equation

a^2+7a-2a-14=0

a(a+7)-2(a+7)=0

(a+7)(a-2)=0

a=-7or2
