Find a quadratic polynomial whose one zero is 5 and sum of zeros is - 12.​

Answer :

To form quadratic equation

let us consider two zeroes as α, β

α = 5 [given]

α×β = - 12 [given]

α×β = - 12

β = -12 / 5

β = - 2.4

α+β= 2.4 + 5 = 2.6

Quadratic equation will be

X^2 ( some of roots ) + product of roots = 0

X^2 ( α + β ) + α × β = 0

X^2 2.6 + 12 = 0
