Quadratic polynomial roots are (1/4)²=1/8, -1

Find :- Quadratic polynomial

Solution:-

Given roots = 1/8, -1

Take 1/8 as sum of roots

-1 as product of roots

Therefore quadratic polynomial= x²-x(Sum of roots )+ products =0

Sum = a+b=1/8

Product= ab= -1

x²-x(a+b) +ab

  {x}^{2}  - x  \times \frac{1}{8}  - 1 = 0

 {x}^{2}  -  \frac{1}{8} x - 1 = 0

8 {x}^{2}  - x - 8 = 0

Therefore the quadratic polynomial is 8x²-x-8=0
