Step-by-step explanation:

X+y=underroot 2--eq1

And x*y=3

x=3/y

Now put value in eq 1

3/y+y=√2

3+y2÷y =√2

So 3+y2=√2y

Hence we get an quadratic eq

y^2-√2y+3=0

Now solve it and get value of y and then put the value of y in eq 1 from there you get value of x
