required Polynomial is x² - x + 6 = 0

Explanation ;-

General form : x² + (α+β)x - (αβ)

given that ,

α+β = -1 , αβ = -6

so , then

x² +(-1)x -(-6)

= -x + 6 is the required polynomial

More Information :-

  • x²+(α+β)x - (αβ)
  • roots are α, β
  • sum of zeros , α+β = -b/a
  • product of zeros , αβ = c/a
