Mean[1] method:

For any two rational numbers aa and bba+b2a+b2 is a rational between aa and bb, since 1212 and 1313 are rational numbers we have 12+13212+132 as a first rational number.

12=3612=36

13=2613=26

So 12+13=5612+13=56 so 512512 is our first rational number between 1313 and 1212. We can repeat this game as much as we like 12+5122=112412+5122=1124 and

savli47: its k
priya1915: the correct way is- first we will take the lcmof 2 and 3 but no times is given so we can take 12 then we will get 4\12 and 6\12 so rational number between them is 5\12

Question :

→ Find a rational number between 1/3 and 1/2 .

Answer:

→ 5/12 .

Step-by-step explanation:

To find one rational number between any two rational number ,

We have an identity :-)

 Rational \: number = \frac{1}{2} ( a_1 + a_2 ) .

= 1/2( 1/3 + 1/2 ) .

= 1/2[ ( 2 + 3 )/6 ) ] .

= 1/2[ 5/6 ] .

= 1/2 × 5/6 .

= 5/12 .

✔✔ Hence, 5/12 is the Rational number between 1/3 and 1/2 ✅✅ .
