May 2/3 be as is was since its denominator is 3

So we have to make the second term' s denominator as 3

2 = 2 \times  \frac{3}{3}  =  \frac{6}{3}

Now we can easily find any one rational number between 2/3 and 6/3 . It can be 3/3,4/3 and 5/3.

Therefore a rational number between 2/3 and 2 is 5/3 ( any one rational number between 2/3 and 6/3 )
